ராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தில் வரும் முதல் தேதி சட்டசபை தேர்தல் நடைபெற உள்ளது. அங்கு பிரசாரம் செய்ய இன்னும் 3 நாட்களே உள்ளதால் காங்கிரஸ், பா.ஜ.கவும் தீவிர பிரசாரத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளன.
ராஜஸ்தானில் மொத்தம் 200 சட்டசபை தொகுதிகள் உள்ளன. இவற்றில் 2087 பேர் போட்டியிடுகின்றனர். அரசியல் கட்சிகள் சார்பில் 733 பேர் களத்தில் உள்ளனர்.
இவர்களது வேட்பு மனுக்களை ஆய்வு செய்ததில் 346 பேர் கோடீசுவரர்கள் என்று தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. காங்கிரஸ், பா.ஜ.க. இரு கட்சிகளும் தலா 199 வேட்பாளர்களை களம் இறக்கியுள்ளன.
இதில் பா.ஜ.க.வின் 199 வேட்பாளர்களில் 150 பேர் கோடீசுவரர்கள் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. அதை போல காங்கிரசின் 199 வேட்பாளர்களில் 139 பேர் கோடீசுவரர்கள் ஆவார்கள். பகுஜன் சமாஜ் கட்சியின் 190 வேட்பாளர்களில் 35 பேர் கோடீசுவரர்களாக உள்ளனர்.
கோடீசுவரர் வேட்பாளர்களில் காங்கிரசை சேர்ந்த விஸ்வேந்திர சிங் ரூ.118 கோடி சொத்துக்களுடன் முதல் இடத்தில் உள்ளார். பா.ஜ.க. வேட்பாளர் பிரேம்சிங் ரூ.83 கோடி சொத்துக்களுடன் இரண்டாவது இடத்தில் இருக்கிறார்.
மொத்தம் உள்ள 2087 வேட்பாளர்களில் மிகவும் ஏழை வேட்பாளராக சஞ்சய் பன்ட்லே என்பவர் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளார். சமாஜ்வாதி கட்சியைச் சேர்ந்த அவரது மொத்த சொத்து மதிப்பே ரூ.5 ஆயிரம் தான் என்று மனுவில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
வேட்பாளர்களில் 111 பேர் மீது வழக்குகள் இருப்பது தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. இவர்களில் 66 பேர் பயங்கர கிரிமினல் குற்றவாளிகள் ஆவார்கள். பா.ஜ.க.வின் 199 வேட்பாளர்களில் 31 பேரும் காங்கிரசின் 199 வேட்பாளர்களில் 28 பேரும் பயங்கர கிரிமினல் குற்றவாளிகள் ஆவார்கள். பகுஜன்சமாஜ் வேட்பாளர்களில் 26 பேர் மீது கிரிமினல் வழக்குகள் உள்ளது.
மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்டு சார்பில் நிறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள 37 வேட்பாளர்களில் 15 பேர் பயங்கர கிரிமினல் குற்றம் செய்தவர்கள் என்று பட்டியலிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
Rajasthan assembly elections: 111 candidates with criminal records to contest polls and 346 candidates well rich
As many as 111 candidates with criminal background, about 62 accused of serious charges like murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, crime against women and criminal intimidation will contest polls from a total of 733 candidates in fray for the upcoming state elections.
A total of 2,087 candidates contesting in Rajasthan have filed their candidature, of which 733 candidates’ affidavits were studied by Rajasthan Election Watch and Association of Democratic Reforms. It includes candidates from BJP, Congress, BSP, SP, CPM, CPI, NCP, 11 independent MLAs and others.
As per their affidavits, most of the legislators like Kiran Maheshwari, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Om Birla and others face charges of voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty or obstructing public servant from discharging his duties under section 186 of Indian Penal Code.
Party-wise break-up:
Twenty-eight (14%) of 199 candidates fielded by the Indian National Congress have declared criminal cases against them while 31 (16%) out of 199 candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party and 26 (14%) out of 190 candidates from the Bahujan Samaj Party have declared criminal cases in their affidavits.
15 (41%) out of 37 Communist party of India-Marxist candidates have criminal backgrounds.
The BJP had 10 per cent candidates with criminal cases in the 2008 assembly elections which has risen to 16% in the 2013 assembly elections.
The BSP had 15% candidates with criminal cases in the 2008 assembly elections which has gone down to 14% in 2013. The CPM had 58% candidates with criminal cases in the 2008 assembly elections which has gone down to 41% in 2013 assembly elections while there were no change in the percentage of candidates (14%) with criminal cases fielded by the INC between two elections.
Whereas, 66 women (9%) out of 733 candidates have filed their nomination for the polls. This includes 23 from Congress, 26 (BJP) and 9 (BSP).
