சத்தீஸ்கர் மாநிலம் பிலாஸ்பூர் மாவட்டம் தக்கட்பூரில் அரசு சார்பில் குடும்பக் கட்டுப்பாடு முகாம் நடந்தது. இதில் அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்து கொண்ட 8 பெண்கள் இறந்தனர். சத்தீஸ்கர் மாநிலம் பிலாஸ்பூர் புறநகரில் பென்தாரி கிராமத்தில் நெமிசந்த் ஜெயின் புற்றுநோய் மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்தில் கடந்த 8 ஆம் தேதி நடந்த கருத்தடை அறுவை சிகிச்சை முகாமில் சுமார் 80 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பெண்கள் கருத்தடை அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்துக் கொண்டனர். அறுவை சிகிச்சை முடிந்த 24 மணி நேரத்திற்குள் அந்தப் பெண்கள் மருந்துகள் வழங்கப்பட்டு டிஸ்சார்ஜ் செய்யப்பட்டனர். அவர்களில் 29 பெண்கள், வாந்தி மற்றும் வயிற்று வலி என பல்வேறு பிரச்சனை காரணமாக பிலாஸ்பூர் மாவட்ட மருத்துவமனைக்கு விரைந்தனர்.

மருத்துவமனையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த நிலையில் உடல்நிலை மிகவும் மோசம் அடைந்தால் அவர்களுள் பெண்கள் 8 பேர் பலியாகினர். மேலும் 33 பேர் கவலைக்கிடமான நிலையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகின்றனர். இதுகுறித்து மருத்துவர் அமர்சிங் கூறுகையில், “செப்டிக் காரணமாக உயிரிழப்பு ஏற்பட்டு இருக்கலாம் என்று முதல்கட்ட விசாரணையில் கூறப்படுகிறது. இருப்பினும், விரிவான பிரேத பரிசோதனை அறிக்கைக்கு பின்னரே இறப்புக்கான சரியான காரணத்தை வெளிப்படுத்த முடியும்“ என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இந்நிலையில், இறந்தவர்கள் அனைவரின் குடும்பத்திற்கு ரூ. 2 லட்சம் நிவாரணம் வழங்கப்படும் என்றும் மருத்துவனையில் சிகிச்சை பெறுபவர்களுக்கு ரூ.50000 வழங்கப்படும் என்று அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

In a shocking incident, eight women have died due to medical negligence in sterilisation camp organised by the state government in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, reports said on Tuesday. Reports claim that twenty other women are in critical condition after undergoing sterilisation surgeries. The state health department has formed a three member panel to inquire into the incident. The sterilisation camp was held in the home district of Health Minister Amar Agarwal on Saturday. The camp was organised as part of family planning programme. As per the programme, the women undergoing operation get Rs 1400 and the worker who brings the gets Rs 200 for each woman. Meanwhile, speaking to the media Bilsapur Collector, Sonmani Vora confirmed that CM Raman Singh has ordered a probe into the unfortunate incident. Vora said that state government has announced of Rs 2 lakh each has been announced for the next of kin of the deceased. At least 85 women were operated upon at the government-run Nemi Chand hospital in the Pendari area of Bilaspur as part of a family planning camp. Many of them later started complaining of pain and fever. “Around 55 women are in trouble. The CM has also ordered inquiry, one medical team has departed from Raipur, and the medical director is also coming. According to my information total 85 operations were conducted, and further probe will be carried based on the investigation report,” Vora said. Meanwhile, Congress has lashed onto target the Raman Singh-led BJP government in Chhattisgarh. Digvijay Singh today demanded strict action against the negligent officers. The AICC general secretary targeted state Health Minister Amar Agarwal and demanded his resignation.
