மகளை ரகசியமாக சந்திக்க வந்த அவரது காதலரை போலீஸ் தந்தை ஒருவர் தனது இரு மகன்களுடன் சேர்ந்து கொடூரமாக அடித்துக் கொலை செய்த சம்பவம் பீகாரில் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. பீகார் மாநிலத்தை சேர்ந்த ராகுல் குமாரும், பாட்னா மாவட்டம் தவ்லத்பூர் கிராமத்தை சேர்ந்த போலீஸ்காரர் அபய்குமார் என்பவரின் மகளும் கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளாக காதலித்து வந்துள்ளனர். இந்நிலையில், உத்தரகாண்ட் மாநிலம் ஹரித்வாரில் ராகுலுக்கு வேலை கிடைத்தது. இதனால், பணிக்காக ஹரித்துவார் செல்வதற்கு முன்னதாக காதலர்கள் தனிமையில் சந்திக்க முடிவு செய்தனர். அதன்படி, காதலி வீட்டில் அனைவரும் தூங்கியதும் இருவரும் சந்திக்க திட்டமிட்டனர். இதனையடுத்து, நேற்று முன்தினம் (சனிக்கிழமை) நள்ளிரவில் காதலியின் வீட்டுக்கு சென்றுள்ளார் ராகுல். காதலர்கள் இருவரும் தனிமையில் இருப்பதை காதலியின் தந்தையான அபய்குமார் பார்த்து விட்டார். ஏற்கனவே, மகளின் காதலுக்கு எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்து வந்த அபய்குமார், ராகுலை தாக்கியுள்ளார். அவருக்கு உடந்தையாக அவரது இரு மகன்களும் இரும்புக் கம்பிகளால் ராகுலை சரமாரியாகத் தாக்கியுள்ளனர். இதில் பலத்த காயமடைந்த ராகுல் மயங்கிக் கீழே விழுந்துள்ளார். ஆனபோதும் வெறி அடங்காத அபய்குமாரும், அவரது இரண்டு மகன்களும் ராகுலின் இரண்டு கண்களையும் தோண்டி எடுத்து, காலில் ஐந்து முறை துப்பாக்கியால் சுட்டுள்ளனர். இதற்கிடையே மின்தடையை தங்களுக்கு சாதகமாகப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொண்ட அபய்குமார், திருடன் வந்து விட்டதாகக் கூச்சலிட்டுள்ளார். அபய்குமாரின் சத்தம் கேட்டு விரைந்து வந்த அக்கம்பக்கத்தார் முதலில் ராகுலை திருடன் என தவறுதலாகப் புரிந்து கொண்டனர். இதற்கிடையே அந்த கிராமவாசிகளில் சிலருக்கு ராகுலுடன் அந்த வீட்டு பெண்ணுக்கு இருந்து வந்த தொடர்பு ஏற்கனவே தெரிந்திருந்தது. இதனால், இச்சம்பவத்தை கண்ட அவர்களில் ஒருவர் ராகுலின் குடும்பத்தாருக்கு தகவல் அளித்தனர். சம்பவ இடத்திற்கு விரைந்து வந்த ராகுலின் பெற்றோர் தங்களது மகனின் நிலையைக் கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தனர். பின்னர், தங்கள் மகனை போலீஸ்காரர் அபய்குமாரும் அவரது மகன்களும் மிருகத்தனமாக அடித்துக் கொன்று விட்டதாக போலீசில் புகார் அளித்தனர். இதனையடுத்து, வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து அபய்குமாரின் மகன்கள் இருவரை கைது செய்த போலீசார், தலைமறைவாக இருக்கும் போலீஸ்காரர் அபய்குமார் மற்றும் மேலும் 4 பேரை வலை வீசி தேடி வருகின்றனர்.

Suspecting a 22-year-old youth, Rahul Kumar, of having a love affair with his daughter, Bihar police constable Abhay Singh allegedly assaulted him, injured both his eyes and pumped five bullets in his right leg in the wee hours of Saturday. The youth later succumbed to his injuries at Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH). The incident happened at the cop’s home at Daulatpur Dih area under Gaurichak police station in Patna district. Police have arrested two persons in this connection, but the cop is absconding. Police sources said Rahul allegedly had a love affair with the daughter of Abhay Singh, and added. “Rahul, son of Rakesh Kumar of Daulatpur area under Fatuha police station area, was a student of ITI, Digha. He recently got a job as technical assistant with an automobile company in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. He was supposed to join the company on July 3.” “Rahul left his home around 4.30pm on Friday and went to his institute. He left his institute around 9.30pm but did not reach his place till late in night. Rahul’s maternal uncle, who lives in Jehanabad, got a call from an unknown number around 2am to rescue Rahul from the home of Abhay Singh at Daulatpur Dih. The caller asked him to rescue Rahul immediately as he was being beaten badly by Abhay and his kin,” added the source. Police said Rahul’s eyes were injured and he had received five bullets on his right leg. When Rahul’s father and others reached the house of Abhay, the latter was carrying Rahul somewhere. The two groups had a brawl. Finally, Rahul’s family rushed him to PMCH, where he was declared brought dead. City SP, Patna, Ashish Bharti, said, “We have arrested Abhay’s two sons Govind and Raushan from the village. Abhay is absconding but will be arrested soon … We are waiting for the post-mortem report of Rahul to confirm the cause of injuries, including the eye injuries.”
