Om Puri granted anticipatory bail till Aug 30
மனைவியை உருட்டுக்கட்டையால் தாக்கிய குற்றச்சாட்டில் பிரபல நடிகர் ஓம் பூரியைக் கைது செய்ய இடைக் காலத் தடை விதித்துள்ளது நீதிமன்றம். அர்த், ஆக்ரோஷ், ஆரோகன் படங்களில் சிறந்த நடிகருக்கான தேசிய விருது பெற்றவர் நடிகர் ஓம் பூரி. காந்தி படத்திலும் முக்கிய கேரக்டரில் நடித்தார். இந்தியில் முன்னணி ஹீரோக்களுடன் ஏராளமான படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார். ஓம் பூரி தனது இரண்டாவது மனைவி நந்திதாவுடன் மும்பையில் உள்ள வீட்டில் வசித்து வந்தார். திடீரென அவரது முதல் மனைவி சீமா கபூர், மீண்டும் வந்து சேர்ந்து கொண்டார். இதனால் நந்திதாவுக்கும் ஓம் பூரிக்கும் பெரும் சண்டை ஏற்பட்டுவிட்டது.
இதனால் வீட்டுக்குப் போவதைத் தவிர்த்த ஓம் பூரி, செலவுக்குப் பணம் தருவதையும் நிறுத்திவிட்டாராம். இதைக் கேட்ட நந்திதாவை கைகளாலும் உருட்டுக்கட்டையாலும் தாக்கினாராம் ஓம் பூரி. இதுகுறித்து கடந்த வாரம் போலீசில் புகார் செய்தார் நந்திதா. தாக்குதலில் உடலில் காயம் ஏற்பட்டு இருந்ததையும் போலீசாரிடம் காட்டினார். ஓம் பூரி அடித்ததை தனது தாயும் வீட்டு வேலைக்காரியும் பார்த்தனர் என்றும் தெரிவித்தார். இதையடுத்து ஓம் பூரி மீது 324, 504 மற்றும் 506 பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் மும்பை போலீசார் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்து விசாரிப்பதற்காக ஓம் பூரியை தேடி வந்தனர். போலீசாரிடம் இருந்து பிடிபடாமல் ஓம் பூரி தலைமறைவாக இருந்து வருகிறார். இந்நிலையில், மும்பை நீதிமன்றத்தில் அவர் நேற்று முன்ஜாமின் மனு தாக்கல் செய்தார். இந்த மனுவை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி நடிகர் ஓம் பூரியை வரும் 30ம் தேதி வரை கைது செய்யக்கூடாது என்று இடைக்கால தடைவிதித்து உத்தரவிட்டார். ஓம் பூரியின் முன்ஜாமின் மனுவின் மீதான விசாரணையை வரும் 30ம் தேதி நடைபெறும் என்று தெரிவித்த நீதிபதி அதுவரை நடிகர் ஓம் பூரி நாள்தோறும் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் ஆஜராகி விசாரணைக்கு ஒத்துழைக்க வேண்டும் நிபந்தனை விதித்துள்ளார்.
Om Puri granted anticipatory bail till Aug 30
A Sessions court granted interim protection to actor Om Puri on Wednesday, which means he cannot be arrested till August 30 in the assault case registered by his wife.
The actor had, on Tuesday, moved an anticipatory bail application after his wife Nandita filed a case of assault against him with the Versova police. On August 22, Nandita had approached the Versova police alleging that Puri had assaulted her with a wooden stick.
Nandita told the police that she had a fight with Puri over maintenance of the flat following which he hit her. The incident allegedly took place at Puri’s apartment in Sushil building located at Seven Bungalows in Versova, Andheri.
Puri has been booked under sections 324 (punishment for causing hurt by dangerous means), 504 and 506 for criminal intimidation of the Indian Penal Code.
However, in his ABA the actor had alleged that the allegations made by his wife are false, and stated that he has been residing separately since last three years, and gone to see his son at his residence.
The actor in the application stated that his wife was demanding money to gift a costly phone to their domestic help’s daughter who offered rakhi to Puris’ son, to which he denied.
Puri further contended that ‘as he refused to granted her demand they got into heated argument followed by got up to leave, but Nandita walked upon him and caught his collar and he had to push her off to leave the house.’
Meanwhile, Nandita has also filed an application to intervene in the case and object to the application of Puri. The court has now adjourned both the application on Friday for hearing.
