Man smashes daughter’s face for continuing her education in MP
பள்ளிப் படிப்பை நிறுத்த மறுத்த 11 வயது மகளின் முகத்தை தந்தையே சிதைத்த கொடூரம் மத்திய பிரதேச மாநிலத்தில் நடந்துள்ளது. மத்திய பிரதேச மாநிலம் பெதுல் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள மரஞ்ஹிரி கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் தினேஷ் உய்கே. அவரது 11 வயது மகள் அந்த கிராமத்தில் உள்ள அரசு பள்ளியில் 5ம் வகுப்பு படித்து வந்தார். தினேஷுக்கு தனது மகள் படிப்பது பிடிக்கவில்லை. அதனால் படிப்பை நிறுத்திவிடுமாறு கூறி வந்துள்ளார். ஆனால் சிறுமி தினேஷின் பேச்சைக் கேட்காமல் தொடர்ந்து பள்ளிக்கு சென்று வந்தார். இதனால் கடுப்பான தினேஷ் கல்லை எடுத்து தனது மகளின் முகத்தை சிதைத்துவிட்டு தலையிலும் அடித்து காயப்படுத்தினார். இதையடுத்து சிறுமி அருகில் உள்ள மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார். இந்நிலையில் சிறுமி போலீசாரிடம் அளித்த வாக்குமூலத்தில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது, பள்ளிப் படிப்பை நிறுத்திவிட்டு விறகு விற்கப் போகுமாறு என் தந்தை கூறி வந்தார். பல முறை நாள் முழுவதும் சாப்பாடு கொடுக்காமல் பட்டினி போடுவார். நான் தொடர்ந்து படித்து வந்ததால் என்னை கொடுமைப்படுத்தி வந்தார் என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இந்த சம்பவம் பற்றி வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்த போலீசார் தினேஷை தேடி வருகின்றனர்.

Angry over his 11-year-old daughter’s determination to continue her school education, a man allegedly smashed her face and head with a heavy stone at a village here. Dinesh Uikey smashed his daughter’s face when she returned home from school on Friday evening in the district’s Maramjhiri village and fled away, police said.The girl, a student of class V at a government school at Maramjhiri, was admitted to Betul district hospital where she is undergoing treatment for her injuries and is reported to be out of danger. The distraught girl told reporters here last evening that her father was against her attending school and used to ill-treat her for continuing with her studies instead of selling wood. She also alleged that many a times her father did not serve her food for a whole day. Police said they have lodged a complaint against the accused on the basis of the girl’s statements under sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of IPC.
