பாதிக்கப்பட்ட சரவணனின் மகனும் மகளும் உள்ளூர் ஊடகங்களுக்கு எஸ்ஐ தங்கள் தந்தையை கொடூரமாக தாக்கியதாக கூறினார்
42 வயதான இந்து சாது – சரவணன் தமிழக முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி கே பழனிசாமி கிராமத்திற்கு அருகே அவமானம் மற்றும் சித்திரவதைக்கு ஆளானார், உள்ளூர் துணை ஆய்வாளர் அந்தோணி மைக்கேல் தலைமையிலான காவல்துறையினர் குழு இந்து சாதுவை அவமானப்படுத்தியதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
தமிழ்நாட்டின் சேலம் மாவட்டத்தில் சங்ககிரி தாலுகாவில் உள்ள குண்டங்கல் காடு என்ற இடத்தில் இந்த அதிர்ச்சி சம்பவம் நிகழ்ந்ததாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. சாது சரவணன் தனது பக்தர்களுக்காக அமாவாசை நாட்களில் சிறப்பு பூஜைகள் செய்து வந்தார், அவர்கள் பேய்களால் பிடிக்கப்பட்டதாக புகார் கூறுகின்றனர். தெய்வீக குணப்படுத்துதலுக்காகவும், புனித பதக்கத்தைப் பெறுவதற்காகவும் எடப்பாடிக்கு அருகிலுள்ள புலியம்பட்டி குடலம்காடு கிராமத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள அவரது ஆசிரமத்தை பலர் பார்வையிட்டனர்.
சாது தனது வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்து தன்னிடம் வரும் பக்தர்களுடன் கலந்து கொண்டதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. ஆகஸ்ட் 14 ஆம் தேதி, பேய்களால் பிடிக்கப்பட்டதாக அறிவித்த இரண்டு பெண்கள் அரை நிர்வாண நிலையில் சாதுவுக்கு வந்தனர். இதனிடையே, தேவூர் காவல் நிலையத்தைச் சேர்ந்த காவல்துறையினரும் அந்த நேரத்தில் அவரது இடத்தில் வந்து அவரை அடித்து உதைத்தனர்.

எஸ்.ஐ. அந்தோனி மைக்கேலும் சம்பவ இடத்திற்கு விரைந்து சென்று துஷ்பிரயோகம் செய்த பின்னர் அவரை தாக்கியதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. ஒரு பெண் பக்தர் கொடுத்த உணவுப் பொட்டலத்தை அவர் சாப்பிடும்போது காவல்துறையினர் அவரை அடித்து உதைத்ததாக சிலர் கூறினர்.
அவர் மீதான தாக்குதலைத் தொடர்ந்து, மறுநாள் காலையில் இந்து சாது காணாமல் போனார். உள்ளூர் மக்களும் அவரது நண்பர்களும் அடுத்த நாள் ஒரு தேடலைத் தொடங்கியபோது, அவரது நண்பர்கள் வாட்ஸ்அப்பில் அவரது வீடியோவைப் பெற்றனர், அதில் பொலிஸ் அடிப்பது அவரது மனச்சோர்வுக்கு வழிவகுத்தது என்று கூறினார்.
பின்னர், ஆகஸ்ட் 15 ஆம் தேதி அவரது சிதைந்த உடல் அந்த பகுதியில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது மற்றும் பொலிசார் உடலுக்கு அருகில் ஒரு மொபைலைக் கண்டுபிடித்தனர். “சப்-இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் அந்தோணி மைக்கேல் தனக்கு கிடைத்த சக்தியால் எதையும் செய்ய முடியும் என்று நினைத்து என்னை அடித்துக்கொண்டார்” என்று சாது வீடியோவில் குற்றம் சாட்டினார்.

A 42-year-old Hindu sadhu – Saravanan has ended his life out of humiliation and torture near Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s village, after a group of policemen led by a local sub-inspector Anthony Micheal humiliated the Hindu Sadhu.
According to the reports, the shocking incident occurred at Kundangal Kaadu in Sankagiri taluk in Salem district of Tamil Nadu. Sadhu Saravanan used to perform special poojas at new moon days for his devotees, who complain of being possessed by ghosts. Several people visited his ashram situated in village Puliyampatti Kudalamkadu near Edappadi for divine healing and to get a holy pendant.
Reportedly, the Sadhu used to sit at his home and attended devotees coming to him. On 14 August, two women who had reported of being possessed by ghosts came to the Sadhu in a semi-naked position. Interestingly, a group of policemen from Thevur police station also landed at his place at that time and beat him up.
SI Anthony Michael beat up Hindu Sadhu brutally
SI Anthony Michael also rushed to the spot and allegedly thrashed him after abusing him. Some people reportedly said the police beat him up when he was eating a packet of food given by a woman devotee.
Following the attack on him, the Hindu Sadhu went missing the next morning. As local people and his friends began a search next day, his friends received his video on Whatsapp in which he said that the police beating had led to his depression.
Later, on 15th August his decomposed body was found in that area and the police found a mobile near the body. “Sub-inspector Anthony Michael beat me up thinking he can do anything with the power he got,” the sadhu alleged in the video.
