கங்கை நதியை மாசு படுத்தும் 48 தொழிற்சாலைகளை மத்திய அரசு மூட உத்தரவு.

மத்திய நீர்வளமும் கங்கை தூய்மைபடுத்துதல் திட்டத்துக்கான இணை அமைச்சர் சந்தோஷ்குமார் கங்வார் இதைப் பற்றி மாநிலங்களவையில் எழுந்த கேள்விக்கு எழுத்துப்பூர்வமாக பதிலளித்தார். அதில், மத்திய சுற்றுச்சூழல் மற்றும் வனத்துறை அமைச்சகம் கண்டறிந்துள்ளதாவது, கங்கைக்கும் மற்றும் அதன் துணை நதிகளுக்கும் அருகிலுள்ள 764 தொழிற்சாலைகளிலிருந்து தினமும் 501 மில்லியன் லிட்டர் கழிவு நீரை வெளியேற்றுகிறது. மேலும் இதை 1978ஆம் ஆண்டின் மாசுக்கட்டுப்பாடு மற்றும் தடுப்பு சட்டம் மற்றும் 1986ஆம் ஆண்டின் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு சட்டத்தின் கீழ் நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தேசிய கங்கை நதி வடிகால் ஆணையத்தின் (என்.ஜி.ஆர்.பி.ஏ) அதிகாரிகள் கடந்த மே மாதம் முதல் 704 தொழிற்சாலைகளில் சோதனையிட்டனர். அதில் விளக்கம் கேட்டு 165 தொழிற்சாலைகளுக்கு சுற்றறிக்கை அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் 48 தொழிற்சாலைகளை மூட உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Central Government announced to close 48 factories for discharging waste water pollutants. When questioned about it in the Rajya Sabha, the Union Minister for Water Resources and the Ganges cleaning department Sub-Minister Mr. Santhoshkumar Kangvar given a written statement. It is said that Central Environmental and forest Department has found out daily 501 million liters of waste water were discharging by the 764 factories on the shore of Ganges and its sub rivers. Based on the 1978 Environmental Act and 1986 Environment Protecting Act these actions were undertaken. Out of 704 factories inspected by NGRBA Staffs from the month of May, 165 factories were issued notice for explanation and 48 were issued notice for closure.
