ஆஸ்திரேலிய நாட்டில் பி.ஹெச்.டி. ஆராய்ச்சி படிப்பு பயிலும் 30 வயது இந்திய மாணவி ஒருவர் திடீரென காணமல் போனது அங்கு பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்திஇருக்கிறது.

இந்தியாவில் உள்ள பஞ்சாப் மாநிலத்தை பூர்விகமாக கொண்ட 30 வயதுடைய மாணவி நடாஷா நரங், ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் இருக்கும் டாஸ்மானியா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பி.ஹெச்.டி. ஆராய்ச்சி படிப்பு பயின்று வருகிறார்.

அவர் கடந்த ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் முதல் தனது கணவர் திரு. சந்தீப்புடன் டாஸ்மானியா மாநிலத்தில் வசித்து வந்தார்.

இந்த நிலையில் கடந்த 4ம் தேதி முதல் அவர் காணாமல் போய்விட்டார் , ஆதலால் அந்நாட்டு காவல் துறையினரிடம் புகார் ஒன்று கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

இதை தொடர்ந்து நடந்த விசாரணையில், அவரது உடமைகள் யாவும் டாஸ்மானியா மாநிலத்தில் இருக்கும் ஓர் ஆற்றங்கரை ஓரமாக கிடந்தததை கண்டுபிடித்தார்கள். எனினும், மாணவி நடாஷா இன்னும் கண்டுபிடிக்க படவில்லை

இந்திய மாணவர்கள் மீதுள்ள அளவுக்கு அதிகமான எதிர்பார்ப்பினால் உண்டான மன அழுத்தம் காரணமாக அவர் காணாமல் போய் இருக்கலாம் என அங்கிருக்கும் சீக்கியர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்கள்.

இந்த நிலையில் தான் இரு சக்கர வாகனத்தில் கிழக்கு தமார் தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலையில் சென்று கொண்டிருந்த போது அந்த நெடுஞ்சாலையை மாணவி நடாஷா கடந்து செல்வதை கண்டதாக அங்குள்ள ஒருவர் தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்.

 A 30 year old Indian Girl (student) has gone missing in Australia. The police have launched a massive search operation there. In Tasmania state, They found some of her belongings on the banks of a river. A PhD student named Mrs.Natasha Narang studying at the University of Tasmania, was absconding since October 4 at Mowbray in the state. On Thursday, the police started searching. The rescue officers discovered some of her clothes and belongings near the Tamar River in Tasmania on its banks. The search involved a helicopter but failed to locate Narang. Narang, the origin of Punjab in india, traveled to Australia for the purpose of her PhD study in regional Australia, The Police reported.

in November 2012, Narang moved to Tasmania with her husband Mr.Sandeep . The investigating officers did not suspect any suspicious circumstances in her disappearance on October 4. They continue to believe that study related stress may be the reason for her disappearance. Elders of the Sikh community in the city of Launceston said that high expectations among international Indian students often leads to this consequences due to the stress.

Many number of people came forward to police with news about Narang’s whereabouts just prior to her disappearance. One of her neighbor said that she saw Narang crossing the East Tamar Highway near the northern outlet.
