சீமாந்திராவில் ஆந்திரா தெலங்கானாவுக்கு எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்து, மின்சார வாரிய ஊழியர்கள் வேலை நிறுத்தம் செய்து வருவதால் ஹைதராபாத் நகரத்தில் மின்சார விநியோகம் முற்றிலும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு நகரம் முழுவதும் இருண்டது. 13 மாவட்டங்கள் உள்ள சீமாந்திராவில் ஆந்திரப் பிரிவினையை எதிர்த்து 30,000க்கு மேற்பட்ட மின் ஊழியர்கள், 72 மணி நேர வேலை நிறுத்தம் வியாழக்கிழமை நள்ளிரவு முதல் துவங்கினர். இதில் 20,000க்கு மேற்பட்ட ஒப்பந்த மின் ஊழியர்களும் போராட்டத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இந்த வேலை நிறுத்த போராட்டத்தால் ஆந்திரா மாநிலத்தின் தென்பகுதிக்கு உண்டான 7,196 மெகா வாட் மின்சார விநியோகம் முழுமையாக துண்டிக்கப்பட்டது. மேலும் தமிழகம், கேரளம், கர்நாடகம், மட்டும் இன்றி ஹைதராபாத் நகரம் உள்பட ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தின் பல இடங்களும் மின் விநியோகம் இன்றி தவித்தது.இந்த வேலை நிறுத்த போராட்டம் தொடங்குவதற்கு முன்பே வியாழக்கிழமையன்று ஹைதராபாத் நகரத்தில் சுமார் 3 மணி நேரத்திற்கு மேல் மின் விநியோகம் தடைபட்டது. இந்நிலையில் மின்சார ஊழியர்கள் வேலை நிறுத்த போராட்டத்தை துவக்கி உள்ளனர். “தெலங்கானா விஷயத்தில் மத்திய அரசாங்கம் தகுந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கவில்லையெனில், தற்போதைய வேலைநிறுத்த போராட்டம் காலவரை இன்றி நடக்கும், அத்தியாவசிய தேவையான தண்ணீர் விநியோகம், மருத்துவமனை மற்றும் ரயில்வேக்கும் மின்சார விநியோகம் பாதிக்காத வண்ணம் வேலைநிறுத்த போராட்டம் தொடரும்’ என்று போராட்ட கூட்டு நடவடிக்கை குழு தலைவர்கள் அறிவித்தனர்.சீமாந்திராவின் மின்சார ஊழியர்களின் வேலை நிறுத்த போராட்டத்தால் அண்டை மாநிலங்களுக்கும் பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட வாய்ப்புள்ளது என்றும், மேலும் விவசாயப்பணிகளும் பாதிக்கும் என்று அஞ்சபடுகிறது. கடந்த ஆகஸ்ட் 13ஆம் தேதி முதல் 6 லட்சத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட அரசு ஊழியர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள் வேலைநிறுத்தத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர்.

As part of intensifying the Samaikyandhra movement, employees of the Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) have served a notice stating that they would participate in the 48-hour strike from the midnight of Wednesday. In all likelihood, this would affect the supply of electricity to domestic and industrial sectors in the next two days. Cautioning people on drinking water supply, Commissioner of Kakinada Municipal Corporation V. Ravi Kumar, in a statement here, stated that drinking water supply would be depending on availability of power in the next two days, and advised people not to waste water. He, however, ensured supply of water once in a day for the next two days even in the worst case. Meanwhile, agitations continued for the 44th consecutive day with employees of the Agriculture Department participating in a blood donation camp and officials of various departments extending solidarity to the agitating members of the JAC of employees, teachers, and workers. The blood donation camp was conducted at Krushi Bhavan, in which the Agriculture Department employees and farmers donated blood. The Rotary Blood Bank conducted the camp. Agitation camps by the JAC and teachers in front of the Collectorate continued. Various skits woven around the Samaikyandhra theme were performed by students.
