Honeymoon murder: woman charged with pushing husband off cliff
அமெரிக்காவில் தேனிலவு சென்ற ஒரு புதுப்பெண் தனது கணவரை மலை மேலிருந்து தள்ளி கொலைச் செய்துள்ளார்.
திருமணமாக ஒரு வாரகாலமே ஆன நேரத்தில், ஜோர்டான் என்ற 22 வயது பெண்ணும், கோடி என்ற 25 வயது ஆணும் தேனிலவிற்கு செல்ல திட்டமிட்டு சென்றனர்.
இந்நிலையில், திருமணம் செய்துக்கொண்டது குறித்து ஜோர்டனுக்கு மாற்று கருத்து இருந்ததாக தெரிகிறது. அவர்கள் அன்று இரவு கிளேசியர் தேசிய பூங்காவிற்கு செல்ல திட்டமிட்டிருந்தனர்.
இதற்கு முன் ஒரு நண்பருக்கு எஸ்.எம்.எஸ் அனுப்பிய ஜோர்டான், நான் இது குறித்து எனது கணவரிடம் பேசவுள்ளேன், இன்று இரவுக்குள் நான் உனக்கு பதிலளிக்காவிட்டால் ஏதோ விபரீதமாக நடந்துள்ளது என புரிந்துக்கொள் என அனுப்பியிருக்கிறார். அன்று இரவு அந்த இடத்தில் ஜோர்டனுக்கும், கோடிக்கும் இடையே வாக்குவாதம் முற்றியுள்ளது. இதனால் ஆத்திரமடைந்த ஜோர்டான் அந்த இடத்தை விட்டு வெளியேற முயன்றுள்ளார். அவரை தடுத்து நிறுத்த ஜோர்டானின் கையை பிடித்த கோடியை ஜோர்டான் வேகமாக தள்ளிவிட்டதில் அவர் மலையின் உச்சியிலிருந்து பள்ளத்தாக்கில் விழுந்து பலியானார்.
இதனை அடுத்து போலீசாரிடம் தகவகளித்த ஜோர்டான், கோடியை காணவில்லை எனவும், அவர் அவரது நண்பருடன் சென்றிருந்தார் எனவும் பொய் புகார் அளித்து நாடகமாடியுள்ளார். போலீசார் விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டப்போது தான் செய்த குற்றத்தை ஒப்புக்கொண்ட ஜோர்டான் நடந்தவற்றை தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

A woman has been charged with murder after pushing her husband off a cliff during an argument on their honeymoon.
Jordan Linn Graham made an initial appearance in court on Monday to face a charge of second-degree murder.
The 22-year-old is accused of killing her husband Cody L Johnson just a week after the pair, from Montana, wed.
According to the charges, Ms Graham recently told a friend she was having second thoughts about marrying 25-year-old Mr Johnson.
Prosecutors said the couple argued on July 7 but they decided to go hiking in Glacier National Park in Flathead County, Montana, where they continued to fight.
Ms Graham told police that her husband grabbed her by the arm and she turned and removed it.
‘Graham stated she could have just walked away, but due to her anger, she pushed Johnson with both hands in the back and as a result, he fell face first off the cliff,’ the charges read.
His body was discovered several days later.
Ms Graham reportedly told a friend she planned to talk with Mr Johnson about her reservations on the day they argued.
The same day, Ms Graham sent the friend a text message saying, ‘Oh well, I’m about to talk to him’ to which the friend responded: ‘I’ll pray for you guys.’
Ms Graham wrote back: ‘But dead serious if u don’t hear from me at all again tonight, something happened.’
Her lawyer Michael Donahoe declined to comment on the case and she faces life in prison if convicted.
It was reported a friend said Ms Graham reported receiving an email on July 10 saying Johnson had left with three friends, went hiking, had fallen and was dead.
Ms Graham initially told investigators Mr Johnson left their house late on July 7 with unidentified friends in a dark-coloured car with Washington state licence plates
The next day, Ms Graham reported to park officials that she had spotted Mr Johnson’s body.
A ranger thought that was unusual, but Ms Graham reportedly explained: ‘It was a place he wanted to see before he died.’
Shortly after he died, Ms Graham posted a photo on Instagram from their wedding day.
